Review of The Secret of Willow Lane

Readers who loved Nancy Drew Mysteries will absolutely adore this modern-day mystery/suspense story, designed for middle graders (great for adults too!), in which two best friends who love detective stories combine to puzzle out the mystery of a missing will, and discover far more than either expected.

Jessie and Tina are so excited to receive the new detective kit Jessie ordered, but they’re not expecting to need it to solve the problems at the huge empty home across the street. The owner, an elderly man who lived alone, recently passed, and Jessie’s father is the attorney of record-but no Will can be found. When a strange man appears at the empty house, then sneaks into Jessie’s home, the girls know he is up to no good, and they hope to solve the suspense without cluing in either set of parents.

This is the first in a series of mystery novellas, targeted to middle-grade readers. Get it and share with your own children, grandchildren, or nieces and nephews. What a great way to get this age group interested in books!

I reviewed an e-book copy from the publisher, via Goodreads Group Making Connections YA Edition, in return for my fair and impartial review.
