Review of A Hint of Frost by Hailey Edwards
Araneae Nation #1
5 stars
What a well-turned fantasy romance is “A Hint of Frost”! I believe it has compelling reasons to be popular among devotees of fantasy, paranormal romance, and urban fantasy. Exciting, adventurous, thrilling, sensual, emotional-all the elements are present, and presented in a well-written and enjoyable fashion. Add a hot hero, and a sexy heroine determined to avenge her parents’ ugly deaths, a culture in which the new Araneidae maven, Lourdes, must mate to protect her clan (and hot or not, Rhys the Cold is from a clan that just doesn’t get along too well with Lourdes’ clan), and choices must be made: to mate and live, or refuse and be slaughtered? When Guardians prove dangerous instead of protective, sometimes “the enemy” becomes one’s best friend.
