Review: Cthulhu Fhtagn!

Cthulhu Fhtagn! Cthulhu Fhtagn! by Ross E. Lockhart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Review: CTHULHU FHTAGN! Edited by Ross Lockhart Antholigist/editor/publisher Ross Lockhart distinctly possesses an eye for the best, and lengthy experience toiling in the fields of Lovecraftian Mythos have finely attuned that discernment [and likely his nightmares as well]. In CTHULHU FHTAGN! he presents an extraordinary collection, one which I plan to frequently reread, of exceptional authors delivering implacable horror. I read through these stories with the perception of weightiness [truly there is no terror akin to the terror at the imminent, implacable, world-ending return of the Great Old Ones--EMP' s, asteroid impact, nuclear holocaust, comet collision, solar meltdown--nothing can compare]. Throughout the book I felt as one trapped in a locked room where the ceiling of stone lowers every second. When the Great Old Ones advance, there is no escape. Read with the lights high, and pray such does not come to pass in your lifetime.
