REVIEW: LOSS OF INNOCENCE by RICHARD NORTH PATTERSON (Blaine Family 0.5)

Review:

A literary exploration of a summer that catastrophically impacted Anerican society and culture--the summer of '68, which continued the moral and cultural earthquakes commenced in 1963 with assassination of a President and subsequent embroilment in the Vietnam conflict--LOSS OF INNOCENCE by prolific and acclaimed author Richard North Patterdon is the prequel to FALL FROM GRACE, first novel in the Blaine Family Trilogy. LOSS OF INNOCENCE looks back from 2008 to that fateful Summer, and explores some of the Blaine Family secrets and shames. Simultaneously, we watch Whitney Dane's tumultuous encounter with Ben Blaine, confrontation with her parents, and her moral evolution, in a matter of days.
