All things must come to an end…

London is in the frozen grip of an unnatural winter and Queen Victoria wants answers. Cara and Nate know who - the Curator. The queen’s artifact hunters just don’t know what is responsible. Cara is on the trail of an ancient and powerful artifact capable of freezing a city and stirring demons. First she must confront her past and her father’s history. Only in learning why her father became a disciple of the Curator can she hope to learn what the old noble seeks and why he is so fascinated by her.

Then tragedy strikes and the bond forged by Nefertiti’s Heart is severed. Nate without Cara succumbs to his darkness and he lashes out at those he holds responsible for her loss. Meanwhile, in the shadows, Inspector Fraser waits for his opportunity to pull down the man known as the villainous viscount.

With London entombed in ice and all hope lost, could this be the end…?

Mallory Heart's Reviews:

REVIEW: NEFERTITI' S HEART by A. W. Exley
[ARTIFACT HUNTERS #1]

If you prefer your steampunk early Victorian with violence, brutality, a frisson of romance and sensuality, plus mystery and a rockin' strong female protagonist, here's your story. It's 1861 and Cara Devon, cast-out daughter of the recently deceased Lord Devon, devotee of archaeological artifacts, is twenty-one, determined to find just enough of his hidden collections to sell and then leave London. Her upbringing has been nothing but dire, and Cara has no reason to trust anyone, especially the nobleman who is king of London's Underworld--not even to avoid a serial killer targeting young debutantes.

Review: HATSHEPSHUT'S  COLLAR by A. W. Exley
[ARTIFACT HUNTERS BOOK TWO]

London 1861

Cara Devon, that seven-year nomad, was waylaid by romance and sensuality when she met Nathaniel, Lord Lyons, King of the Underworld. Now she is part of his life and a colleague in some of his more aboveboard business interests. Life is fairly smooth until Queen Victoria commences a conscription drive in preparation for a new and unnecessary war. Then Nathaniel is unthinkably arrested and hauled off to the Tower of London for execution. Turns out the Queen is being driven quite mad by an artifact, Hatshepshut's Collar, so Cara must determine how to free both the Royal Mother and Cara's own heartthrob, to whom she is is inextricably connected through Nefertiti's Heart.

Review: NERO'S FIDDLE [ARTIFACT HUNTERS BOOK THREE]

Wherever Cara Devon and Nathaniel Lyons are, romance, sensuality, and danger are definite to abound. Commencing with a septuagenarian fatally spontaneously combusted, Cara and Nathaniel's sojourn at the hideous Gothic stone monstrosity (the Lyons country estate) will of course be interrupted for danger, adventure, travel--and artifact hunts.

Review: MOSEH'S STAFF [ARTIFACT HUNTERS BOOK FOUR]

A. W. Exley doesn't do plain ordinary Steampunk, nor run-of-the-mill historical romantic fantasy. Hers is a whole new category, I venture to say, High Victorian magical fantasy Steampunk, with plenty of emotions and romance, sensuality and lust, violence and brutal scheming, heroes and villains. This series is a fast read simply because the pages practically turn themselves. In this installment London is encased in ice, due to the machinations of the evil one known as The Collector. When Cara and Nate are separated, neither can rely on the other and must forge on alone. Expect lots of danger and Artifact magic.
