Review: SCAN by Walter Jury and Sarah Fine

I predict that SCAN is going to be a blockbuster hit on.the YA charts. Why? This pull-no-punch story gets down to the nitty-gritty where adolescents live:  their emotions, their fears, their first loves; that crazy generational gap, seemingly impassable, that always occurs between parents and offspring--the need to blend in society constantly warring with the drive for independence of identity. And then when you add in the video game violence suddenly erupting in real life, and --whoops! Aliens--SCAN can't lose!
