Review: COLD SWEATS AND VIGNETTES by John Bowen

REVIEW:  COLD SWEATS AND VIGNETTES by John Bowen

I am blessed to be a beta reader for author John Bowen. His work always uplifts and never disappoints, nor is it easily forgotten or overlooked. In this new collection, he turns his considerable talent from novels to shorter pieces, each of which is a treasure:
Always lyrical, but subtle with it, so that each new poetic turn of phrase arrives almost as a surprise. Totally outstanding reading in this collection; my personal  favorites are "The Steak, "Crash," and "The Fall," all three for the twists; but if I needed to pick only one, "The Steal." Purely excellent.
