I reviewed an e-book copy from the author provided in return for my fair and impartial review, via the Goodreads Group Making Connections.
About eighteen years ago, the first instance of PSS appeared: Psyche Sans Soma (which I roughly translate as “soul” or “spirit’ without body). Those who possess PSS have one body segment that is “not there,” “ghostly,” and it could be the hand (as in Olivia’s case), arm, nose, leg portion… Almost everyone without PSS finds it odd; some, the CAMPfers, find it freakish, abnormal, and in need of eradication. Olivia never thought that her “ghost hand” would put her in danger, until she discovers simultaneously that her PSS hand can reach in and pull symbolic items out of others; and that the new boy in school is far, far more than he seems—and he may be her only ticket out of terminal danger, because someone is determined to extricate her PSS.
“Ghost Hand” is an exciting and riveting story which kept me turning the pages to find out the next tension-filled moment. I highly recommend it, both to YA readers and older. Even higher level middle school readers can enjoy it.

After reading your review I decided I definitely needed to read this. Then I scrolled to the title and saw it was free!!! I just downloaded it to my Kindle and I'll hopefully read it this weekend. Thank you for the suggestion.
