Stealing the Shadow of Death is a tremendously well-researched novel, which as well as being emotionally engaging, taught me much about ancient Egypt, and indicated that the greed for power and oneupmanship are not just present in our contemporary society, but are as old as any human endeavours. This is a novel readers will wish to take slowly, to savor the nuances and wavelengths.
