Review: THE BURNING by Jonas Saul Has there ever been a story like this one? If so, I've not read it. THE BURNING was my second incursion into the Jonas Saul universe [immediately following THE ELEMENTS] and I lapped up this unforgettable piece, constantly marveling. Yes, the detailed gore made me squirm and the implacability of the horror frightened me. Not recommended for the faint of heart; but if you take your horror both terrifying and inescapable, take this.
