REVIEW: INSINCERE by Joanne Clancy
[Elizabeth Ireland Series Book Two]
Author Joanne Clancy leads readers on a merry mystery chase in this second installment starring protagonist Elizabeth Ireland, former detective with London's Metropolitan Police, more recently private investigator in Cork, Ireland [and close personal friend of the local Chief Superintendent]. Elizabeth reminds me much of Angela Marsden' s series protagonist, DI Kim Stone, but I find Elizabeth mire abrasive and solitary. Throughout the story she seems almost destined to be close, but not quite there--yet she perseveres, and readers will revel at the constant mind-turning twists.
