REVIEW: THE LITTLE MEN by Megan Abbott
The BIBLIOMYSTERIES series is sure to delight in every installment. Megan Abbott's THE LITTLE MEN is spooky paranormal horror couched in mid-century Hollywood history and culture. It's not just the contemporary film and television industry that's celebrity-studded and suffused with sleaze; plenty of both were prominent in 1953 in the film studio milieu. Our heroine Penny is feisty and revengeful, despite, or perhaps because of, her rough life among the sleazy. When yet one more bad moment leads leads her to stumble onto a tucked-away residential complex with an empty bungalow waiting to rent, her troubled fate is assured.
