Review: MELANCHOLY MANOR by ELLIE DeFARR

"Cosy Mystery With Bite"
REVIEW: MELANCHOLY MANOR By Ellie DeFarr

A taut, intriguing, winning, cosy mystery set in an unnamed but finely delineated city, one full of both good folks, and political corruption and high jinks. Hera Hunter is a private investigator, talented and intuitive and a dog lover (little Lucky accompanies her everywhere). What sets her apart is her childhood on the streets and later in foster homes. Her best friend Gwen is a cat burglar. Hera is no stranger to violence; and she will face brutally urgent issues in order to solve this case.
