REVIEW: BRAVE IN RIBBONS by Holly Maholm

A postmodern literary perspective of a contemporary transgender woman who has passed into the afterlife and now wishes to temporarily elicit the joy and excitement of Christmastide in her childhood. Remembering how she loved Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, she decides to experience it for herself. Just as in the story, she finds joy and sorrow, compassion and dismay--life experiences common to all, but also life experiences particular to her situation as a transgendered individual.
