A sharply fascinating and exciting contemporary rural fantasy, in which the author readily suspends any possible disbelief and smoothly blends the edges of reality as we expect it with a fantastical species living within Winter, THE WINTER PEOPLE will be a major splash in the YA audience, I predict. Winningly written, with enjoyable characters and that not-fairy but similar type of glamour. I found it.a fast and lovely read, and worth rereading
