Near-futuristic sci fi turns evolution on its head, or gives that impression, as Professor Towry and his colleagues and "cousins" present as both of higher intellect, physically stronger, and of higher integrity and civility than humans. Yes, Towry and his fellows are chimps--not monkeys, mind you--chimps. Sentient, voluble, intellectually brilliant: chimps.
