This is the first fiction by Walter Mosley I had read, and wasn't quite sure what to expect. I certainly didn't plan for the story to "blow me away," for it to light a candle in my soul, for the author to open up the fuse box of my heart and turn on all the lights. This is one incredible, lyrical, outstanding, literary, story.
